Taping is such a basic way to aid in the treatment process of injuries. This treatment however, is also one of the most important factors in stabilizing and preventing an injury. The use of the tape restricts the movement of injured joints while reducing the swelling of the injured area. Injury prevention is also what taping is used for, it acts as a form of reducing impact. Both of these functions of tape have helped me through preventing my wrist from overextending and it has helped compress my sprained wrist.

1. Mentorship question: Describe your experience in how you found your mentorship? If you haven't found one yet, describe your experience so far in the search of a mentor.
My mentor ship has been very helpful and education. As for my mentor, he is really knowledgeable about his career. In the search for my mentor, it was surprising how open my mentor was to this whole senior project.
2. Research question: What has been your most important article you have read so far and why?
My most important article so far is Shin Splints by John Miller. It has helped me significantly because it tells you about diagnosing the injury (shin splints) and the levels of treatment.
